Miljo products are all made out of 12-gauge steel or aluminum, with multiple options available:

Stainless steel got its name because it’s highly corrosion- and rust-resistant. Because of this resistance, its strength, and its durability, stainless steel products are extremely easy to maintain, keeping their matte, brand-new appearance for decades.

Aluminum is similar to stainless steel in its look, corrosion resistance, and rust resistance, but has a lighter silvery-white appearance; and at one-third the weight of stainless steel, aluminum is physically much lighter. This makes these products much easier to move and place where you want them. The one thing you must watch out for is salt, which is prone to corrode aluminum. If you’re on the ocean or would be putting down salt near your Miljo product to melt snow or ice, you may want to avoid aluminum.

Corten steel is a special type of steel that's designed to rust and patina, holding a nice burnt-orange color. Left outside to the elements, this product will turn into this color within a few months. While you might be concerned that this rusting would eventually ruin your Miljo product, corten steel's rust is actually what forms a protective barrier that prevents the rest of the product from corroding or rusting away. In other words, this metal will last a long time.

Left outside to the natural elements, corten steel will rust and patina within a few months. However, there are ways that you can speed this process up.

Carbon steel is our most economical option, and on its own is not the most corrosion- or rust-resistant metal. However, our powdered coatings act as a barrier to protect the metal, while simultaneously giving you more color options for your Miljo Living product. When you choose carbon steel, you can get the Miljo Planter or Miljo Log Holder in black, textured black, gray, blue, red, or yellow.

Yes! A quick online search about where to recycle steel or aluminum in your area will likely show you multiple places where you can take your Miljo product to recycle it (and even get paid to do so).

Not that you will need to. Our products are designed to last a very long time.

Miljo provides a 3-year warranty, against defects in material and workmanship on all products manufactured. The warranty period shall begin on the original date of purchase by the original purchaser. At Miljo's discretion, parts will be replaced on an exchange basis FOB–Fremont, OH or purchaser will be refunded the purchase price.

The warranty shall not apply if:

1. Damage is caused by misuse or negligence.

2. Damage is caused by improper installation.

3. Damage is caused during shipment.

This warranty does not cover consequential damages.

At the moment, Miljo Living products are not shipped internationally.

Yes. However, for the Miljo Planter, you will likely want to add the drainage plate to your purchase. This will catch any water that comes out of the drainage hole at the bottom of the planter when you water your plants.
